Kuwait City: Al Qadsia collected their third consecutive victory in this season's AFC Cup with a straightforward 3-0 win over Al Saqr at Mohammed Al Hamad Stadium.
Having clinched the Kuwait League title last week, the hosts ensured the celebrations would continue a little longer as two goals early in the first period effectively ended Al Saqr's challenge in the Group B encounter.
Beirut: Three late goals re-ignited Al Ahed's AFC Cup campaign as a 4-1 triumph over Al Karamah at Sports City Stadium saw the Lebanese side collect their first points in Group E.
Al Ahed came into the encounter on the back of defeats to both Arbil and Al Arouba, while Al Karamah were also looking to further advance their cause following two draws.
Amman: Two early goals helped Al Faisaly edge out Al Nasr at King Abdullah International Stadium on Tuesday and give their chances of reaching the last 16 of the AFC Cup a shot in the arm.
The hosts were two goals to the good inside the opening 21 minutes of the Group C game through Abdallah Al Attar and Abdelhadi Al Maharmeh and while Francisco Santos' late goal set the home nerves jangling, they were able to hold on and collect their second win of this season's competition.
Amman: Ali Nassereddine scored twice as Al Ansar boosted their hopes of a place in the last 16 of the AFC Cup with a convincing 4-1 win against Al Tilal in Group A.
In a game that had been switched to Prince Mohammad International Stadium in Jordan due to the continuing political unrest in Yemen, it was Al Tilal who went in front after 25 minutes through Geleta Lami.
However, Al Ansar came roaring back mainly thanks to Nassereddine, who grabbed a goal in each half.
