Last updated Thursday,July 19,2012 3:07 pm

Reigning Olympic tennis champion Rafael Nadal has pulled out of the London Games in July and August.
The seven time French Open champion has struggled with injuries in recent times and his seen his ranking slip to three in the world.

Experts have criticized Nadal's aggressive style of play and the long term impact on his knees.
The London Olympics Organizing Committee will now have to find ways of lifting the profile of the men's draw with the absence of its defending champion
